We asked MI Finance management for help, they ignored us. Other MI departments tried to help, but this finance company is one of the worst, if not the worst.

· Angelica claimed to call us multiple times but did not.
· When we finally connected, I told her if it’s urgent, call my cell or provide me with her cell so we could communicate.
· She told us we could email her or call her office, which we were unsuccessful in multiple previous attempts to reach her or connect with her.
· I advised her I would not call outside office hours or call her often at all, she still did not want to engage with us even after admitting there were urgent matters needing to be discussed and that we had a challenging time meeting.
· She was pretentious and condescending, not helpful at all. At times it seemed discriminatory.
· She was not communicative, we had to submit the same documents multiple times. (This wasn’t due to blurry photos or wrong angles, she just seemed to be misplacing the documents and emails or was not engaged at all)
· We complained to management, our sales rep even attempted to calm me down as I was very close to backing out of the whole deal due to the subpar service received from Angelica.
· Management (Debbie) did nothing to acknowledge our issues and we felt even further neglected despite our documented issues and please.
· Finally, we have a new load officer, who takes the time to communicate and also present different scenarios so that we can make an educated decision. I am appalled it took so long to reassign us and even further disturbed that it was only because Angelica was hospitalized.
· This is a service industry, you should have people who care about customers, not denigrate, belittle, and discriminate against customers.
· Angelica clearly was not engaged or focused, Brianna had to ask for our documents multiple times even after letting her know and forwarding emails to Angelica containing these documents 9 months ago. It seems Angelica isn’t even working for the same company as the disconnect is so evident.
· All this could have been avoided had Angelica been a little more understanding, communicative, and supplied another way to communicate. Perhaps the company should supply a cell line as sometimes there are urgent means to communicate. (Within reason of course, but ask your finance team, we barely reached out, and only if there were serious questions or we were returning a call. Remember, you’re in the finance and services industry, please appreciate your customers and don’t let this happen again where you let discrimination and negligence manifest itself over the course of 9 months)
· Management, (Debbie) I’m equally upset and disappointed that you did not take our complaints from 9 months ago seriously. I would need to escalate this further to a regional or national level. My goal is not to get anyone in trouble, but it is to highlight the gross negligence and discriminatory behavior Angelica has showcased, which I hope is not the overall behavior of MI Finance. I can tell you our sales, inspection and construction experience has been AMAZING, but aside from the attention Brianna has given us and the courtesy and professional Ryan Michael has demonstrated, everything has been deplorable and I would not recommend this experience to anyone at all.

I know you don't want to hear this, but had someone stepped in and done something sooner, rather than put a deal in significant risk or wait until a hospitalization took someone out of the equation, I believe the whole experience would have been much better. Instead, we feel neglected, discriminated against, unheard, unappreciated, and quite frankly unwanted due to the actions of one person compounded with the fact that members of management displayed the inability, indifference and lack of desire to intervene on a customer's behalf, despite a plea for help.

Every single agent in the mortgage department needs to be fired form their jobs for incompetence. It is impossible to get hold of anyone when we are closing our homes. They have no care/empathy for the buyer who might be in a very stressful situation trying to get the best rates for such an undertaking. They throw some incentives and expect the buyers to grovel. I already had a bad experience in my previous purchase with the same mortgage agent and got screwed this time around also.

I worked with Ryan McMichael, Jenna Smigelsky from Finance Meghan Cambridge for closing. I got the most competitive rate from MI Finance as well it the loan processing was super fast. Jenna was so quick that she at one point processed the paperwork within minutes after submitted it. I did have all the required documents ready prior to applying that makes things faster. I also explicitly said no disclosure of my information to other 3rd party except the bank so that no one can bother me for selling items and so far I am good. For everyone I suggest getting your other estimates and then submit to the builder within 14 days and get the best experience. For any concerns be vocal as they respond to any concerns as soon as you raise it based on my experience with them

They do a bad job of explaining stuff for new and first time home buyers. They don’t respond to emails very reliably or set expectations appropriately — it feels like there’s no guidance or explanation on anything from the financing side.

After I sign and give a document to M/I Financial that explain that I DO NOT AUTHORIZE THEM TO SHARE MY INFORMATION OR SELL MY INFORMATION TO OTHER BANKS OR ENTITIES, THEY DID SHARE. I receive letters everyday with all my personal information. I will collect all of them and send to M/I and they will need to call and make them stop sending the same letters 2 or 3 times in a single week. Bad protecting me from spams. Everybody will know about this I promise.

Second the sentiments here. They sold my information and the lady they mentioned was supremely incompetent as well as nasty. Hire better people.
